Our most comprehensive wheel throwing course the perfect way to dive deep into the world of ceramics. This 8-week program gives you double the time to develop your skills and create a wider variety of pieces.

From basic cylinder forms to more complex shapes, you'll have the space to experiment and find your unique style. With more sessions, you'll gain confidence on the wheel and learn to troubleshoot common challenges. By the end, you'll have an impressive collection of finished pieces and a solid technical foundation.

Class Details

• Week 1: Introduction to traditional pottery methods, including pinch pots and basic handbuilding techniques.
• Week 2: Introduction to wheel throwing and creating simple forms.
• Week 3: Fundamentals of trimming, pulling handles, and continued throwing practice.
• Week 4: First glazing session.
• Week 5: Extended wheel throwing practice.
• Week 6: Final wheel throwing session.
• Week 7: Final trimming session, with the opportunity to explore additional handbuilding.
• Week 8: Final glazing session and completion of the course.

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 3 days in advance. Requests made with less than 3 days' notice are subject to a $35 rescheduling fee.
