In Turkey, women get together periodically to mingle. These gatherings include food, hospitality and gold or money! It’s called “Altin Gunu”.

During these meetups, women bring gold coins or money to the host. Hosting rotates among members, allowing each one to save while bonding. It’s a joyful way to save money while enjoying time with friends and food.

As Lokum Eats and Heart Pottery, we want to introduce this collective tradition to you. A themed menu inspired by Turkish Altin Guns has been created for this event. While enjoying the food and drinks, you’ll be guided through ceramic making by Gardiner Museum’s Hatice Erdogan.
